Nagoya-shi
With more than two million inhabitants, Nagoya (名古屋) is the fourth most populous city in Japan. It is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and the main city of the Nobi Plain, one of Honshu's three great plains and metropolitan and industrial centers.
Nagoya developed as the castle town of the Owari, one of the three branches of the Tokugawa ruling family during the Edo period. Much of the city, including most of its historic buildings, was destroyed by the air raids of 1945. Toyota Motor Corporation keeps its headquarters out of Nagoya.
Nagashima Resort
Nagashima Resort is an important holiday destination on the outskirts of Nagoya. It consists of five main leisure facilities: the Nagashima Spaland amusement park, a water park, a thermal water complex, an outlet mall and a flower park called Nabana no Sato. The resort is located on a long piece of land surrounded by rivers and sea; appropriately, is called Nagashima or "long island."
Korankei
Korankei (香嵐渓, Kōrankei) is a valley near Nagoya that has the reputation of being one of the best spots for the fall colors in the Chubu region. The formation of the valley is Mount Iimori, with 254 meters of height, in which stands the Kojakuji Temple.
Tokugawa Art Museum
Tokugawa is a beautiful Japanese landscaped garden with a large lake in the center. The garden used to be part of a retirees' residence of local lords, but was destroyed during the war. In 2001, the garden was restored and reopened to the public in 2004.
Inuyama
Inuyama (犬 山), que significa literalmente "montanha do cachorro", é uma cidade na província de Aichi, não muito longe de Nagoya. É mais famoso por seu pequeno, mas um belo castelo, é um dos mais antigos castelos de madeira do Japão em seu estado original, tendo sobrevivido às turbulências das guerras e dos desastres ao longo dos anos.
Legoland Japan
Legoland Japan was inaugurated in April 2017 in Nagoya. The outdoor amusement park has many attractions aimed at small children and some attractions of interest to the adults who accompany it. Visitors can expect large Lego models, tours, construction stations and dining areas.
Midland Square
A Midland Square é o edifício mais alto de Nagoya, localizado em frente à Estação de Nagoya. O arranha-céu tem 247 metros de altura e foi inaugurado em 2007, aumentando o número crescente de arranha-céus ao redor do centro da cidade de Nagoya.
